In fact, the economist of the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Uruguay (CCSU), Ana Laura Fernández, told this week to Coffee & Business that the growth of trade in the country occurred at a rate lower than expected and uneven compared to the other branches of the economy.
The hierarch’s statements took place after the Central Bank of Uruguay (BCU) released the latest data on the private sector recoverywhich, according to the agency, has already reached levels of recovery similar to those of the pre-pandemic period of covid-19.
In this sense, Fernández assured that “all these instances of celebration (such as Father’s Day) at the end of the day try to be a caller for drive consumption decisions in householdsare always positive, especially now when people can mobilize and meet”.
In turn, the hierarch explained that although these commercial festivities do not generate substantial changes in the growth of the sector, they do collaborate to go through the growth process. In any case, traders are optimistic ahead of July 10.
