This Friday, the Ministries of Mines and Energy and Finance announced that gasoline would rise $200 from this Saturday, October 1 in the national territory. Thus, the national average for October stands at $9,380 per gallon.
(Gas, fuels and energies, sectors that will receive more subsidies).
Likewise, as announced, diesel will remain stable, that is, at a national average of $9,018, after the last increase made in July.
(Not only food: the sectors that would suffer from the rise in gasoline).
According to what was expressed by the portfolios, this rise aims to curb the deficit in the Fuel Price Stabilization Fund (FEPEC)which, from January to August, accumulated a debt of 24.7 billion pesos and, by the end of the year, it would be 38 billion pesos.
(Why diesel generates more deficit than regular gasoline).
It is worth noting that Colombia continues to have one of the lowest prices for gasoline and diesel cheapest in Latin AmericaThanks to the FEPEC, which has mitigated the inflationary pressure of the increases in the prices of oil and its derivatives in recent months.
