The Dominican Government, through the Social Policy Coordination Officein combination with the PSupérate program and the Social Subsidies Administrator (Adess), launched today the economic incentive “Family Support Bonus” that will reach one million Dominicans living in extreme poverty.
The Bond of Family Support was presented in a ceremony headed by the President of the Republic, Louis Abinaderas a support for the economy of the most vulnerable households in the nation that require a helping hand from the Government.
The economic incentive It is a single payment and amount of RD$1,500 that will be issued as a check for each beneficiary, it is not endorsable and can be exchanged at any of the Banco de Banreservas commercial offices nationwide.

Luis Abinader assured that this measure is to face the adverse effects of international economic inflation, but that it also seeks an inclusive economic recovery. “This delivery is a special aid for half a year and we are going to put as many measures as necessary and possible to support the most vulnerable Dominican families,” he said.
He further argued that: “We are going to help them all, but mainly those who have the least”said the president when announcing that in a second stage they will continue the delivery of the bond throughout the country.
Also, the director of the Cabinet for the Coordination of Social Policies, Tony Pena Guaba He pointed out that, from the beginning of this Government, the challenge that the crisis generated by the pandemic would pose was recognized, which is why emergency programs were extended and work was done to strengthen permanent subsidy programs, such as Supérate. “Today we continue working so that through the Supérate card, a program that was strengthened and that became a source not only of subsidies but also one that seeks the training, growth and development of its beneficiaries. That really is a real change”, highlighted the official.
Beneficiaries without aid or economic support
The beneficiaries were selected by the Single System of Beneficiaries (Siuben), after a rigorous filtering process in which one million citizens were identified who, due to their condition of poverty, were considered to receive the economic incentive.
Thus, the Family Support Bonus is strictly aimed at male and female heads of households within the quality of life index I and II, who do not receive the subsidy of ´feed´ of
Supérate program, who are unemployed or have an informal job, whose income is below the poverty line.
This bonus is a one-time payment, designed to flatten the curve of the effects of increased prices nationally and globally.
During the launch of the Family Support Voucher, which was held at the facilities of the San Luis Community Higher Technical Institute, in East Santo Domingo, it was explained that delivery days will be held first in the provinces of Monte Plata and San Cristóbal, since from August 1; they will expand to Peravia, San José de Ocoa, Azua, Barahona, Pedernales, Independencia, Bahoruco, San Juan, Elías Piña, Monte Plata, Montecristi, Sánchez Ramírez, El Seibo and Dajabón.
The President was accompanied in this act by José Ignacio Paliza, Administrative Minister of the Presidency; Rafael Feliz García, Minister of Youth; Digna Reynoso, director of the Adess, among other authorities and special guests.
