The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported today that eight provinces are on green alert, due to possible sudden or urban flooding, due to a trough that manifests itself and will maintain unstable weather conditions over the country.
This has been announced by the entity through its account Twitter.
The provinces that are on green alert are: Monte Plata, Hato Mayor, San Cristóbal, Sánchez Ramírez, Santiago, María Trinidad Sánchez, Gran Santo Domingo and Duarte.

People are recommended to refrain from crossing rivers, streams and ravines that have a high volume of water or use spas in the provinces under alert.
So far, no other provinces have been reported on yellow or red alert, nor is it ruled out that the number of provinces on green alert will increase during the afternoon.
