Georgia Arrua; “We have the support of the people”

Georgia María Arrúa de Dolinsky, current senator for the Patria Querida (PQ) party, will seek to be re-elected in the next elections. She affirmed that one of her motivations to continue is that she has several projects requested by the citizens that have not yet been dealt with.

Arrua de Dolinsky is currently serving her first term as a senator, in addition, it is her first elective position within the public service. The decision she made to run for Congress in 2018 was the need for the PQ to return to Congress and not disappear, taking into account that she is one of the founders of the party.

How are your expectations?

Like any new challenge, we believe that we have the support of the people, in fact they suggested that I be a candidate again. We have pending negotiations that we started with communities. and on the other hand projects that were left in the pipeline and others that we did not finish working on. We look for one more period and then I plan to retire.

What does the project to expand IPS services consist of?

We want people who pay for insurance to be able to receive care within their cities, to extend the IPS network. It is like a prepayment, and we intend that the insured can consult with any doctor, not only outpatient consultations, but also care for medical diagnoses, electrocardiograms, clinical analyzes and more.

How will they do it?

The IPS has to present a list of qualified doctors. Where they have their offices enabled. It can be in a private and individual office. The insured presents his card, through a mechanism it is detected if he is insured. This service provided is paid by the IPS. This Thursday I will request the treatment in 15 days.

The project dealing with the tourism regime, what does it consist of?

We want to achieve an economic reactivation with shopping tourism. So far we have a purchasing tourism that is changing, what we propose is that it be through a law. Our law establishes a novelty of the electronic invoice, in this way, it will be possible to control that the merchandise destined for tourism goes to the tourist.

What can you tell us about your bullying prevention project?

There is no channel to file a complaint. Safe channels for cases of workplace or sexual violence or harassment. In such a way that the people who are victims have a safe channel and feel protected because the cases of revictimization of the brave who dare to denounce are well known. Next month we are going to present it, we do not want dead laws.

The project that refers to the environmental part, what does it consist of?

We want to protect the roads, called green routes. Just as we have the green tunnel of Santa Rita. work has to be done on the reforestation of the places where the trees are pruned to make routes. It is usually fulfilled but in another place. The government, municipalities and the central government must be in charge of reforestation.

How was your first experience in the Senate?

I practiced law for 30 years. I thought I saw everything, but in Parliament it’s worse. I entered with so much desire to change so many things. But later I understood that it is a matter of permanent negotiation, understanding that a project may not come to light quickly but you have to have persistence.
