MADRID, Spain.- The duo Gente De Zona, made up of Cuban singers Alexander Delgado and Randy Malcom, is among the nominees to the Tu Música Urbano Awards 2023.
Delgado and Malcom compete in the Top Urban Tropical Artist category in this fourth edition of the contest, organized annually by the Telemundo Puerto Rico television network.
Gente De Zona will compete for the award with the American of Dominican origin Prince Royce, the American Romeo Santos, the Puerto Rican group Pirulo y la Tribu and the also Puerto Rican Rafa Pabón.

The winners of the 32 competing categories will be announced on June 15 at a gala that will take place at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum, in San Juan, capital of Puerto Rico.

The Tu Música Urbano Awards are intended to recognize artists who transcend and drive the success of Latin urban music around the world.
In January of this year Gente De Zona was nominated for the Lo Nuestro Awards 2023 in three sections: Album Of The Tropical Year for his album From Minor to Major; and Artist Of The Tropical Year and Collaboration Of The Tropical Year for the song “El Negrito”, in collaboration with the Colombian Carlos Vives.
While in March the popular duo was among the 96 artists nominated for the Latin American Music Awards. On this occasion they competed with the song “Soy Yo”, in collaboration with Don Omar and Wisin, in the category “Best Tropical Collaboration”.
