Santo Domingo.- The Generation of Servers (GenS) party, chaired by engineer Carlos Peña, presented this Tuesday the former Major League player, Fernando Tatis, as his candidate for senator for San Pedro de Macorís.
Carlos Peña, made the official announcement after meeting with Tatis to detail the candidacy who will represent the municipality that saw him born and grow.
Peña said that the figure of the former Montreal Expo slugger strengthens the party’s ballot with a view to the 2024 election.
The president of GenS clarified that the party seeks to form a ballot for 2024 with honest representatives and figures because the Dominican people deserve people who represent them by honest leaders in public office.
“We have always said that GenS is a different political organization and that it will compete in the next electoral contest with a fresh proposal, without demagoguery,” Peña agreed.

He stated that the men and women who belong to the party are people with a desire to serve the country and present the country in any political scenario that arises.
He added that since the Central Electoral Board (JCE) recognized the party, they have not stopped working together with the other structures of the organization, touring the 32 provinces of the country every weekend to listen to the cry of the Dominicans, and that in every place they visit, there is only one clamor, and that is, “the people are tired of the traditional parties.”
Tatis, who is also the current leader of the Estrellas Orientales, accepted the challenge to represent San Pero de Macorís in the Senaduria.
