Generator AES Andrés is out of service for maintenance

Santo Domingo.- AES Dominicana reported that the 300-megawatt natural gas generator AES Andrés went out of service last Friday, May 7 at dawn to carry out maintenance that cannot be postponed, approved by the Coordinating Body of the Interconnected Electricity Sector (OC-SENI), which It will take an average of six days.

Through a statement, the company stated that the return of this unit is scheduled for this Thursday, May 12; however, in the last few hours work has intensified to ensure that the generator can re-enter the system ahead of schedule.

AES Dominicana clarified that it continues to make its usual contribution to SENI, both in terms of energy and frequency regulation through the Los Mina V, VI and VII generators and the Bayasol photovoltaic plant.

These works have been timely coordinated with the authorities that direct the operation of the system.
