General Motors urges workers to denounce irregularities in union vote in Silao

The American automaker General Motors ratified its respect for the union representation election that will take place this Tuesday, February 1 and Wednesday, February 2 at its plant in Silao, Guanajuato, for which it ordered its workers to report to the corresponding authorities any attempt to intimidate their workers. vote.

“General Motors, facilitator of this process and attached to the values ​​that distinguish the company worldwide, will respect the decision of the workers, as a result of this vote, and will work with the union representation chosen by them, in the following steps towards the negotiation of the Collective Bargaining Agreement of GM Silao”, the company limited through a press release.

He reiterated that he has always acted in accordance with the law and that he has fully collaborated with the Federal Center for Conciliation and Labor Registration (CFCRL), in charge of coordinating and executing this process, and complying with all its recommendations for the success of this unprecedented democratic exercise.

Therefore, he stated that General Motors will give access to independent observers that have been authorized by the CFCRL, who will supervise the vote.

“GM has communicated to its employees its commitment to the success of this election and has emphasized being against any act of intimidation that they may suffer while exercising their rights, inviting them to report – freely and anonymously – through the channels corresponding, if there was any violation during the voting process”, he clarified.
