A problem with the substation Electricity Transmission Company (ETED), located in San Pedro de Macoriscaused this Tuesday an exit of all the country’s electricity generation plants, as confirmed by the president of the Unified Business Council Distributors (CUED), Celso Marranzini.
Marranzini explained that the situation caused the plants of the Electricity Company of San Pedro de Macoris (Cespm) and then those of Dominican AESwhich caused a chain exit from the rest of the system’s plants, including Punta Catalina.
“We are uploading the system as quickly as possible. We are entering the hydroelectricand we must have the system spared in a two or three hours. The Transmission Company is reviewing exactly what happened and all the necessary information will be given,” he reported.
What time did it originate?
According to the general manager of the Coordinating Body (OC), Manuel Lopez San Pablothe event happened at 1:20 in the afternoon this Tuesday.
“There was an event in the system that we are reviewing still. There is a failure that occurred that we are finding out“said San Pablo.
He said that the system is going to be restored and notified that there had already been several areas with the service.
“Come on working at the same time with the system so that, as we investigate (what was the failure), if this persists, no more things continue to happen,” he declared.
