The official, who previously held the position at the head of the Ministry of Housing, Construction and Sanitation, arrived at the prosecutor’s office at 8:30 am and left at approximately 2:40 pm aboard his official vehicle.
The National Prosecutor’s Office initiated a preliminary investigation against Alvarado and President Pedro Castillo for allegedly being involved in a criminal organization through which works were irregularly tendered in Anguía.
After six hours of diligence, and according to RPP, the minister’s lawyer said briefly that Geiner Alvarado confirmed his innocence and ruled out being part of any criminal organization.
According to the hypotheses of the Public Ministry, the minister could be considered as a lieutenant and one of the leaders of a criminal organization to manage works and favor the company of Anggi and Hugo Espino.
