The Judiciary announced that on Wednesday, September 21, it will evaluate the request for an impediment to leave the country made against Geiner Alvaradothe censored Minister of Transport and Communications.
“The Supreme Court of Preparatory Investigation schedules for Wednesday, September 21, at 10:00 a.m., the hearing on the impediment to leave the country for 36 months against the censored Minister of Transport and Communications, Geiner Alvarado López”reads the message from the Judiciary on social networks.
Minutes before this announcement, Migrations announced that it had issued an “immigration information alert” on Alvarado López, in order to prevent him from leaving the country.
Alvarado currently faces at least four tax investigations. One of them, the most notorious, is directed by the National Prosecutor for allegedly being part of a criminal network within the Ministry of Housing that would be led by President Pedro Castillo.
Geiner Alvarado’s censorship
The Congress of the Republic approved this Thursday, September 15, the motion of censure against the head of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC), Geiner Alvarado, who must leave office in the next 72 hours.
