The average price of a gallon of superior and regular gasoline in Nicaragua will remain above 5 dollars for the thirtieth consecutive week, starting this Sunday, reported the Nicaraguan Institute of Energy (INE) and the Ministry of Energy and Mines.
The cost of superior gasoline, used in light cars, will remain at 5.13 dollars, and that of regular gasoline, applied in old cars and off-road vehicles, will continue at 5 dollars; while diesel, used in cargo and collective transport, will remain at 4.52 dollars per gallon (3.78 liters).
For the week of October 30 to November 5 “the prices of gasoline and diesel fuels will remain unchanged,” said the entities, which have kept prices frozen in national currency since last April 9.
According to international fuel prices, for the following week the price of diesel should increase by 0.45 dollars per gallon, that is, from 4.52 dollars to 4.97 dollars per gallon, indicated the INE and the Ministry of Energy and Mines in the weekly report.

The authorities did not specify how much the increase in premium and regular gasoline would be.
According to the Executive, by assuming 100% of the increases in the prices of fuels and liquefied cooking gas, the State of Nicaragua disburses between 4 and 6 million dollars weekly.
Nicaragua has a fund of 200 million dollars as part of a line of credit of up to 800 million dollars, arranged by the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) to finance a regional support program in the face of the global rise in prices of fuels.
The Nicaraguan authorities also ordered stability in the price of liquefied petroleum gas, used in Nicaragua for food preparation, whose cost has remained unchanged since the beginning of last April and varies depending on the size of the tank and the city where it is sold. . EFE
