This Tuesday, March 28, the Cabinet Council approved extending the subsidy for the price of a gallon of solidarity fuel to B/.3.25 for 95 and 91 octane gasoline, as well as diesel until April 22, 2023.
Once this extension of April 22 is completed, the benefit will be maintained until May 31 with the price of a gallon of solidarity fuel at B/.3.25 for 91-octane gasoline and diesel.
The Cabinet Council had already approved on February 14, an extension of the fuel price to B/.3.25 until April 1, so the new measure is adopted for a period of 60 additional days.
“With these measures, the National Government seeks to continue promoting economic growth in sectors such as: agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, fishing, construction, commerce, industry and tourism, among others, so that the price of the ticket for the population does not become more expensive in addition to guarantee the generation of jobs and that inflation in Panama remains among the lowest in the world for the country to move forward,” they said in a statement.
