The accident occurred due to an accumulation of LP gas at around 2:30 p.m. in a building on Cerrada Duraznotitla corner with Las Flores.
Six of the injured people were taken to hospitals. The minor was taken to the Coyoacán Pediatric Hospital as a priority, while two women aged 20 and 80 were taken to the Dr. Rubén Leñero General Hospital in the Miguel Hidalgo Municipality.
In addition, a 24-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man were taken to the General Hospital of Xoco, in the Benito Juárez Municipality, and another man, aged 33, to the Balbuena General Hospital.
The other six injured people were treated on site and did not require hospital transfer.

The head of the capital’s government, Marti Batres, added that emergency teams and those from other agencies are at the scene to assist relatives and neighbors.
“The Mexico City Fire Department extinguished the fire in the damaged building, turned off the gas supply valves and verified that there was no leak, thus mitigating any risk,” authorities explained in a statement.
