However, he pointed out that the investigations into this person are recent and the proceedings continue; Therefore, he said, later, in coordination with the Public Prosecutor’s Office (FGR), the information about this character will be updated.
This occurs after, after the arrest of Rodríguez Ortiz, images of this character with Pedro Haces, who is the leader of the CATEM and federal representative for Morena, were disseminated, for which the legislator published a video to deny the version.
“It does not have and has not had any connection with CATEM. The only official information is that issued by the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection and at no time does it establish any relationship with our organization,” added Pedro Haces.
Criminal cell dismantled
Rodríguez Ortiz was arrested last week after elements of the Navy, the SSPC, the National Intelligence Center (CNI) and the FGR detected that he was the head of a criminal cell that operated in Durango, Coahuila and Chihuahua.
García Harfuch pointed out that the detainee is also related to the sale and distribution of drugs, vehicle theft, collection of fees, extortion, kidnapping, money laundering, card cloning and forced disappearance.
When announcing the actions to strengthen the National Strategy against Extortion, the Secretary of State pointed out that, in addition to Rodríguez Ortiz, five more people were arrested: Guillermo “N”, Alexis Mauricio “N”, Ángel Rodrigo “N”, Juan José, José “N” and Giancarlo.

He commented that the FGR obtained preventive detention against Rodríguez Ortiz for his probable participation in the collection and carrying of firearms, possession of cartridges and magazines, as well as crimes against health in the form of drug trafficking.
In addition, the authorities blocked the accounts of people close to “El Limones” and three companies with different business lines that presented irregular financial patterns, which may be “front companies.”
The “Los Cabrera” criminal cell is related to Los Mayos, belonging to the Sinaloa Cartel.
