Until January 15, 2023, the fuel subsidy will be extended, which maintains the price per gallon at B/.3.25 for 91 and 95 octane gasoline, as well as low-sulfur diesel, according to the Government, this measure will allow the continuation of the revitalization of the country’s economy.
Through a statement, the Government expressed that this subsidy “represents a fiscal effort for the State in the midst of the austerity measures adopted as a result of the war between Russia and Ukraine”, while assuring that this will give an additional boost to the economic reactivation of sectors such as: agriculture, livestock, manufacturing, fishing, construction, commerce, industry and tourism, among others.
The Government emphasized that if this subsidy was not applied, a gallon of 95-octane gasoline would cost B/.4.12; that of 91 octane would be set at B/. 3.91 and diesel in B/. 4.25.
