The Rio Bioparque (photo) confirmed on Tuesday (22) that, after laboratory analysis, the death infection (avian flu) was detected the death of nine birds of the species chicken-d’angola, in the Quinta da Boa Vista zoo last Thursday (17).

According to the information, “all infected birds were in the area of African savannah, which will remain banned for 14 days as a preventive measure, according to biosecurity protocols.”
With the adoption of necessary measures and authorization of the supervisory bodies, the other areas of the park will be reopened to the public from Thursday (24).
