The president of the Committee of Victims and relatives poisoned by diethylene glycol, Gabriel Pascual, announced to the country that next Tuesday, March 15, they will hold a protest starting at 7:00 am, in the Divisa area.
This forceful measure will be carried out, since they do not see a State policy that is aimed precisely at continuous follow-up and monitoring, and at guaranteeing the quality of life of these patients.
This Tuesday, the committee had previously coordinated a meeting with the Vice Minister of Labor and Labor Development, Roger Tejada, as guarantor between the Executive with the victims and relatives, products of the agreements of a meeting in the Presidency of the Republic in October 2021 .
“The President of the Republic promised that no later than January 2022 the problems would be solved in terms of certifications, care and social issues. Time has passed and no authority has solved the case. Yesterday (Tuesday), as we had scheduled the meeting, we found that there was no one to shed light on this issue in the Presidency of the Republic. We feel annoyed and mocked,” said Pascual.
He asserted that the response was null or almost nothing, “which leads us to take forceful actions. This is the way to tell them that we are present and we require urgent actions to the needs in a general plan”.
The leader added that this protest has already been announced and scheduled. “We are going to converge all the victims to give a clear message to the president,” he concluded.
