The list of candidates and the test locations for the second phase of the Foundation for the Entrance Examination (Fuvest) were released this Monday (1st). According to the institute, more than 30 thousand candidates were invited to continue in the entrance exam at the University of São Paulo (USP).

The test will be held on two consecutive days: December 14th and 15th. The exam will be administered in 36 schoolslocated in 21 cities, in addition to the capital of São Paulo.
On the first day of the test, candidates will have to answer 12 discursive questions in Portuguesewhich include text interpretation, grammar and literature (which considers the mandatory list of works).

Participants will also have to write a essay. This year, it is possible to choose between two proposals: a dissertation-argumentative or one of another textual genre, to be presented at the time of the test.
The second day will be reserved for 12 discursive questions that cover the content of two to four disciplines specific to the chosen career. For exact science courses, knowledge of mathematics, physics and chemistry will be required. For a career in humanities, history and geography. Finally, for the biological areas, biology and chemistry.
“It is important for entrance candidates to be aware of the location of the tests, which may not be the same as the first phase”, highlights the executive director of Fuvest, Gustavo Monaco. To avoid delays on the day and stress upon arrival for the exams, the candidate must know in advance the route to the place where they will take the exam.
