The Brazilian team guaranteed its presence in the decision of the first edition of the women’s futsal World Cup. The place came with a 4-1 victory over Spain, this Friday (5) at the PhilSports Arena, in Manila (Philippines).
The Brazilian team will return next Sunday (7), starting at 8:30 am (Brasília time), when they will face Portugal, who beat Argentina in the other semi-final.
The Brazilian team’s triumph was built on goals from Ana Luiza, Amandinha, Débora Vanin and Luana. Espanyol scored the goal of honor with Ale de Paz.
After qualifying, the coach of the Brazilian team, Wilson Sabóia, highlighted his team’s intelligence against the Spanish team: “We played a very intelligent game, the girls understood the idea of our game, without losing their dynamism, their intelligence, their ability to make a decision”.
Now, against Portugal, he expects a final marked by balance: “I think we will play a balanced, strong game, against an excellent Portuguese team. The details will define who will win the first world title.”
