Dr. Rimbaud, promoter of the Animal Welfare Law, explained that since 2019 they have not submitted any type of documentation to Migob nor have they received any type of fund from donors; however, they have not ceased to give protection to animals in the national territory.
“We will always continue to care for animals across the country, as always. Every time we did an intervention somewhere (site), I put the medicines, I put the fuel, I put the transfer and the organization that receives us provides lunch and snacks for the boys who participate, “he said.
“We will continue working throughout the country under these conditions and I will continue to express my opinion on the networks about issues of animal welfare in the country,” he said.
Law 1115, in force since May 2022, regulates non-profit organizations and establishes that in case of non-compliance, the government can deprive them of their legal status and take control of their assets.
According to the resolution, Fundación Amarte did not present financial statements in the period 2020 to 2021 and its board of directors had expired since August 12, 2020.
