Rural producers affected by fires in cities in the interior this weekend will be entitled to a credit limit of R$25,000 to help recover from losses caused by the fire. The government of São Paulo, through the Secretariat of Agriculture and Supply, made available a record amount of R$100 million for the aid.
The amounts are from the São Paulo Agribusiness Expansion Fund (Feap), and have 15 accredited insurance companies, which will grant subsidies ranging from 25% to 30%, depending on the productive crop. The fund is used to mitigate the impacts of production losses caused by drought and other inclement weather, and for emergency costs.
The São Paulo government continues with the work of the crisis office and the outpost in Ribeirão Preto to monitor the situation. According to a note from the state government, there are no active fires on Monday (26).
The crisis cabinet was implemented on Friday (23) and Governor Tarcísio de Freitas declared a state of emergency for 180 days in 45 municipalities in São Paulo.
