"Fulfill the utopia of equality": the call of Alberto Fernández

President Alberto Fernández held in Chapadmalal a working meeting with ministers of the National Cabinet and civil servants, who presented him with a transversal public policy agendaand called on them to “comply with the utopia of equality” so that “all Argentines can fulfill their dream.”

“When I look back, I realize that what we did was impressive,” said the head of state. in the meeting that took place at noon in the presidential residence of Chapadmalal, it was officially reported.

In that context, Fernández stated that “that is why I invite you to face this 2023 with great strength and conviction, knowing what we did and working to continue doing more and better”.

The President also summoned them this year, which marks the 40th anniversary of democracy, to “fulfill the utopia of equality so that all Argentines can fulfill their dream.”

Likewise, he urged the leaders to “advance with all the issues of gender and diversity that we have pending” because “what we do not do, it is possible that it will no longer be done.”

The ministers and officials presented the President with a transversal public policy agendaaimed at continuing to improve the lives of Argentines.

In this sense, the officials held a work meeting during the morning to analyze ideas and actions for the year 2023, in the Mirador Room of the Chapadmalal Presidential Residence.

At the meeting, the leaders agreed on the guidelines to strengthen a transversal agenda with a gender perspective for 2023, with axes in production, employment and the importance of the presence of the State to materialize them, it was reported.

In the first meeting they participated the Legal and Technical Secretary, Vilma Ibarra; the spokesperson for the Presidency, Gabriela Cerruti; the Ministers of Social Development, Victoria Tolosa Paz; Cheers, Carla Vizzotti; Labor, Employment and Social Security, Raquel “Kelly” Olmos; and from Women, Gender and Diversity, Ayelén Mazzina.

Also present were the secretaries of International Economic Relations, Cecilia Todesca Bocco; Climate Change, Sustainable Development and Innovation, Cecilia Nicolini; of Sports, Inés Arrondo; Tourism Promotion, Yanina Martínez; for Management and Public Employment, Ana Castellani and for Public Innovation, Micaela Sánchez Malcolm.

In addition, the presidential adviser, Dora Barrancos; the heads of the Advisory Cabinet Unit of the Legal and Technical Secretary, Florencia Feldman; from the Special Temporary Executing Unit for Strengthening the Care Infrastructure, from the Ministry of Social Development, María de los Ángeles Higonet; from the Cabinet of Advisors Unit of the Foreign Ministry, Luciana Tito; and from Inadi, Greta Pena.

Also present at the meeting were the presidents of Banco de la Nación Argentina, Silvina Batakis; from the National Council for the Coordination of Social Policies, Marisol Merquel; from Radio and Television Argentina Sociedad del Estado (RTA), Rosario Lufrano and from Agencia Télam, Bernarda Llorente.

The executive director of the National Youth Institute (Injuve), Julia Epstein, and the Undersecretary for Parliamentary Affairs of the Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers, Cecilia Gómez Mirada, also participated.

Gómez Mirada, for his part, stated after the meeting that “in the next 10 months of management we have to value the achievements” and “deepen the production, employment and equality agenda”.

“We had an excellent work meeting, in which we talked with the President about how to move forward in coordination to consolidate our political project,” said the Undersecretary for Parliamentary Affairs and warned that “we already know what happens when the right governs and we cannot allow again to cause a setback in terms of rights for the Argentine people”.
