The first class petty officer of the Peruvian National Police Santos Michel Ramirez Cabanillas denounced this Thursday the 17th that the fujimorista legislator Hector Ventura he attacked him with a kick when he was doing security work at the headquarters of the Congress of the Republic.
According to the police complaint to which he agreed The Republic, the event occurred at the intersection of the Junín jirón with Abancay avenue. Ramírez Cabanillas was in charge of controlling the gate for the entry and exit of vehicles at the aforementioned intersection.
At approximately 1:40 pm, the car of the president of the Oversight Commission, Héctor Ventura, approached the place. He shouted: “We are at war” and asked that the bars be opened to leave the parliamentary headquarters.
“Being the case that being responsible for the position and having the red light of the intersection traffic light, I did not open the gate immediately, so the congressman got out of the vehicle and without saying a word to me, he kicked me in my foot, right side, causing an injury.” It reads in the complaint that the cash filed at the San Andrés Police Station.
Ramírez Cabanillas offered a dollar exchanger as a witness to the assault of which he would have been the victim.

Héctor Ventura denies assault on police
in dialogue with The RepublicCongressman Héctor Ventura “absolutely” denied having attacked Santos Michel Ramírez Cabanillas and assured that he was “respectful of our National Police” and that “he could not act in that way.”
“It is striking that this morning we have asked Migration and the Minister of the Interior to capture Alejandro Sánchez Sánchez, owner of the house in Sarratea, as soon as possible. That is to say, I have been questioning the way in which the current Minister of the Interior, Huertas, is working. How curious that today an incident that has been a domestic issue actually occurs: I scolded the policeman to open the door for me to leave and he simply ignored my request. There was nothing more than an altercation to force us to open. In the end the door could not be opened and there it was. The truth is that the policeman threw adjectives and expletives at me (sic)”, stated.
Ventura Ángel described the complaint as “malicious and reckless” and pointed out “to be ready to be called as many times as necessary because that is totally false.”
“There are the security cameras. Congress has a lot of cameras. Let all the videos come out where I was supposedly assaulting or beating the police because at no time has this happened, ”she reiterated.
Medical part confirms aggression
The medical evaluation that Santos Michel Ramírez Cabanillas underwent at the Legal Medicine Institute confirms that he was the victim of an assault. Specifically, a 0.5 cm by 0.6 cm triangular excoriation with surrounding swelling was detected on the anteromedial aspect of the right ankle, caused by a hard blunt agent.
Police officer Ramírez Cabanillas was given seven days of medical rest and the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office on duty was notified of the complaint so that he could act according to his faculties.
