The match Popular Force He spoke about the situation of President José Jerí, who faces six motions of censure after revealing meetings with Chinese businessman Zhihua Yang, and announced that he will not join initiatives that, as he indicated, seek to “destabilize the country.”
“We do not engage in electoral speculation. Therefore, we are not going to join the usual destabilizing chorus: caviars, communists and, now, the right-wing pseudo-moralists,” said Fuerza Popular on its official X account.
In the statement, the party recalled that the country continues to face serious problems such as citizen insecurity and poverty, which is why it considered it necessary to prioritize stability over political confrontations.
“Citizens ask us politicians to stop the useless fights and focus on what is important: ordering the country,” he said.
However, Fuerza Popular recognized that the explanations provided by José Jerí about his visits to certain locations continue to raise questions.
In that sense, he pointed out that investigations must continue both in the Congress of the Republic and in the Public Ministry, in order to clarify the facts.
Likewise, the group left open the possibility of changing its position if new elements appear that compromise the continuity of the head of Parliament. He indicated that, if a situation arises that makes Jerí’s permanence in office “unsustainable”, he will act as appropriate at that time.
