The motion was an initiative of Fuerza Popular, which was presented against Minister Rómulo Mucho. For his part, the head of Minem ruled out resigning during his presentation before the Plenary.
The Popular Force Bench presented the motion of censure against the Minister of Energy and Mines, Rómulo Mucho Mamaniafter severe criticism of his management. The proposal is based mainly on the MAPE law, among other accusations such as lack of capacity and serious negligence in the performance of their duties, which, according to the congressmen promoting the measure, constitutes a serious political responsibility.
The document, which was presented with 36 signatures, also indicates that on November 20, Motion 14585 was presented where they requested that the Minister of Energy and Mines explain before the Plenary Session of Congress the reasons for the delay in the presentation of the bill of the small artisanal mining (ASM) and justify the decisions made regarding Petroperú.
