Repsol assured this Wednesday that the fuel supply in The Pampilla is guaranteed and that the queues of vehicles seen outside the refinery are due to the growing demand generated by the lack of product in other operators.
“The supply of fuels at the La Pampilla Refinery is fully guaranteed. The refinery is producing at full capacity. The company said in a statement.
“Repsol and affiliated service stations are supplying fuel normally to consumers”he added.
Stockout?
As is known, this morning there were long queues of trucks on the outskirts of La Pampilla, in Ventanilla, to refuel. Although this situation has been repeating itself this month, the situation has been aggravated by the shortage of gasoline at different taps in the capital.
The vast majority of cargo tankers are waiting to fill their tanks to distribute them to different taps in Lima and provinces, where shortages of hydrocarbons are already reported, especially 90, 95 and 97 octane gasoline.
According to the drivers, Petroperú no longer has fuel, so they have had to stock up at private plants such as La Pampilla.
In that sense, the scarcity of the product has caused the cost of gasoline to rise. Truckers report that in some cases they have to wait up to two days to fill their tanks.
On the other hand, some drivers pointed out that the refinery authorities do not respond quickly and, on the contrary, have been giving a series of excuses to justify the delay in fuel supply.
