Fuels: 18 private companies are authorized to import more than 20 million liters for their own consumption

To date, 16 companies have authorization for the import of diesel oil and another two for special gasolinein accordance with administrative import authorization resolutions issued by the National Hydrocarbons Agency (ANH).

“Any natural or legal person who needs to directly import liquid fuels for their own consumption can do so. Once the no-objection note is requested from YPFB, Our company responds to requests within 24 hours and the process begins with the ANH and Controlled Substances, to obtain the authorizations and the route sheet for the place where the fuel will enter and where it will go. So far more than a million liters private companies have imported“, said Callaú.

YPFB indicated that it has already carried out training workshops on direct import of fuels for own consumption, aimed at business sectors, private companies, cooperatives and other institutions at the national level interested in importing fuels.

YPFB technicians reported on the facilities provided by the Supreme Decree No. 5218, which expedites the issuance of import authorizations for hydrocarbons and their refined products with the modification of Supreme Decree No. 28419, of October 21, 2005.

According to the state, the optimization of import procedures allows the entire process to be carried out quickly and efficiently, with the aim of operationalize in a maximum of five business days. The presentation of fuel quality specifications can be done with a digital signature, in order to optimize times.

Streamlining the process benefits both large companies as well as natural persons or cooperatives that need fuel for their productive activities. “There are no limitations on the volumes to be imported, as long as it is for own consumption,” YPFB stated.

With the new procedure, procedures that previously required the intervention of notaries and judges, They are now done through a sworn declaration before the ANH, a situation that accelerates the process.
