Fuel reference prices fall 6.68% and "should be reflected" in the country, says Opecu

The Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin) published this Monday the report on international reference prices for oil-derived fuels with drops in gasohols, gasoline, diesel and industrial oils up to 6.68% per gallon, for the fourth consecutive week, while the LPG, bottled and bulk, maintained its immediate previous price, reported the Peruvian Agency for Consumers and Users (Opecu).

This is the fourth week of downward reference prices that we reiterate must be reflected complete and timely from producers and importers to taps and service stations at the national level”, pointed out the president of Opecu, Héctor Plate.

He indicated that no argument can be considered legal and legitimate for not transferring the downward international reference price variations complete and timely to the domestic market, if when they are upward they reflect them completely without delay, and sometimes in amounts higher than the reference.

Consumer relations must be fair, equitable and suitable in harmony with the economic and social market regime established by the Magna Carta, and the Consumer Protection and Defense Code. Stop the abuse“, he pointed.
