The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MiPymes (MICM) reported today that for the week from July 23 to 29, 2022, the fuels are sold at the following prices:
- Premium gasoline will be sold at RD$293.60 per gallon, maintaining its price.
- Regular Gasoline RD$274.50 per gallon maintains its price.
- Regular Diesel RD$221.60 per gallon maintains its price.
- Optimum Diesel RD$241.10 per gallon maintains its price.
- Avtur RD$298.91 per gallon maintains its price.
- Kerosene RD$338.10 per gallon maintains its price.
- Fuel Oil #6 RD$192.11 per gallon maintains its price.
- Fuel Oil 1%S RD$211.77 per gallon maintains its price.
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) RD$147.60 per gallon maintains its price.
- Natural Gas RD$28.97 per m3 maintains its price.
The average weekly exchange rate is RD$54.61 for the daily publications of the Central bank.
The Dominican Government reported this Friday that it maintains hydrocarbon prices unchanged at the level of March 4 of this year for which they have allocated, this week alone, an extraordinary subsidy of 660 million pesos, as reported by the Vice Minister of Commerce Intern, Ramón Pérez Fermin.

He explained that the international price of WTI averaged 100.49, for a new weekly decrease of 0.3% in relation to the average of the previous week, which amounted to 100.75, totaling an accumulated increase so far this year 2022 of 33.5 %.
The deputy minister recalled that the war in Ukraine already has 5 months of hostility, which has caused prices to increase to historical levels of 2008.
“Just as the issues have not changed, neither has the commitment of the government of President Luis Abinader, which once again announces that it is freezing fuel prices, assuming a debt of 660 million,” he said.
With this extraordinary subsidy, the government once again assumes 100% of the increases, avoiding increases in the prices of Premium Gasoline for 29.52 pesos, Regular Gasoline for 38.07, Regular Gasoil for 72.31 and Optimo Gasoil for 77.59 pesos per gallon.
