Fuel prices from January 7 to 13, 2023

The Ministry of IndustryTrade and MSMEs (MICM) reported this Friday that the price of the avtur will register an increase of 9.42 pesos, reaching 245.94 pesos a gallon of this fuel starting tomorrow.

Ramón Pérez Fermín, Vice Minister of Internal Tradealso informed that the prices of the others will be frozen again fuels for domestic use and the government will allocate 462 million pesos to stop the increases in optimal and regular diesel for more than 54 pesos.

“During the last four months of 2020, 325 million pesos were allocated. In 2021, the amount of the subsidies amounted to 15,600 million pesos, and by 2022 more than 36,500 million were managed, an unprecedented figure for such purposes,” said Pérez Fermín.

He said that for the week of January 7 to 13, the government will avoid increases of up to 54 pesos, mainly in the optimal diesel and regular. This is due to the fact that the aforementioned products maintain a significant difference in relation to the price of crude oil since the beginning of the war between Russia Y Ukrainewhich has limited local prices from falling at the same rate that crude oil has fallen.

“The aforementioned measures translate into a generalized stability that has turned Dominican Republic in a regional model, being a benchmark in crisis management, having contained the cumulative increase in inflation between January and November 2022 at only 6.8%, according to the Central Bank,” added the vice minister.

Consequently, the prices of the fuels will be the following:

  • Premium gasoline: 293.60 pesos per gallon.
  • Regular gasoline: 274.50 pesos per gallon.
  • Regular diesel: 221.60 per gallon.
  • Optimum diesel: 241.10 pesos per gallon.
  • Avtur: 245.94 pesos per gallon.
  • Kerosene: 338.10 pesos per gallon.
  • Fuel oil #6: 192.11 pesos per gallon.
  • Fuel oil 1%: 211.77 pesos per gallon.
  • LPG: 147.60 pesos per gallon.
  • Natural gas: 28.97 pesos per m3.
