Government froze again the prices of all fuels after three weeks consecutive diminishing the one with the gallon avtura fuel used in aviation.
The Vice Minister of Internal Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, reported today that, by not incorporating increases imposed by the market, the government “continues to protect consumers” from price increases, mainly in regular diesel for 28.92 pesos and in the optimal diesel for 25.63 pesosamong other finished products.
“It is true that prices reference keep fallingbut not in proportion to increases where the market traded at levels not seen in the last 10 years,” said the official from the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs in a press release.
He indicated that, in the case of this week, at the close of operations the Petroleum Texas Intermediate (WTI) registered between $71.02 as a minimum value and $77.28 as highest value.
He pointed out that the price freeze planwhich to date amounts to almost 35,000 million pesos“is an unprecedented figure” for such purposes and considered it as an “unequivocal sign of an effort never seen before to ensure economic stability.”
For the week of December 17-23, 2022, fuels will be sold at the following prices:
- Premium gasoline: 293.60 pesos per gallon.
- Regular gasoline: 274.50 pesos per gallon.
- Regular diesel: 221.60 per gallon.
- Optimum diesel: 241.10 pesos per gallon.
- Avtur: 216.91 pesos per gallon.
- Kerosene: 338.10 pesos per gallon.
- Fuel oil #6: 192.11 pesos per gallon.
- Fuel oil 1%: 211.77 pesos per gallon.
- LPG: 147.60 pesos per gallon.
- Natural gas: 28.97 pesos per m3.
