The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and SMEs (MICM) reported that for the week of August 24 to 30, 2024, fuels will be sold at the following prices:
Premium gasoline will be sold at RD$290.10 per gallon, maintaining its price.
Regular Gasoline RD$272.50 per gallon maintains its price.
Regular Gasoil RD$221.60 per gallon maintains its price.
Gasoil Óptimo RD$239.10 per gallon maintains its price.
Avtur RD$187.94 per gallon down RD$4.20.
Kerosene RD$216.70 per gallon down RD$4.80.
Fuel Oil #6 RD$157.14 per gallon, down RD$3.99.
Fuel Oil 1%S RD$171.83 per gallon down RD$5.15.
Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) RD$132.60 per gallon maintains its price.
Natural Gas RD$43.97 per m3 maintains its price.
The average weekly exchange rate is RD$59.79 according to daily publications by the Central Bank.
The Vice Minister of Domestic Trade, Ramón Pérez Fermín, reported this Friday that the government of President Luis Abinader reaffirms its commitment to protect the economy in Dominican homes. Therefore, the government will continue to subsidize fuels as follows:
Regular diesel will be subject to a subsidy of almost 15 pesos per gallon, premium diesel will be subject to a subsidy of 9.13 pesos per gallon, regular gasoline will be subject to a subsidy of more than 12 pesos per gallon, premium gasoline will be subject to a subsidy of 5.86 pesos per gallon, and LPG will be subject to a subsidy of almost 15 pesos per gallon.
“This effort represents a sacrifice of nearly 300.7 million, aimed at not passing on international price increases to consumers. Our ongoing work is based on constant observation and analysis of the international market. Despite the challenges imposed by fluctuations in energy markets, we remain firm in our mission to protect Dominican families and guarantee equitable access to fuels,” said the Vice Minister.
