Fuel prices for January 18 to 24, 2025

Precio de gas y gasolinas siguen igual

The Vice Minister of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), Ramón Pérez Fermín, reported this Friday that the Government of President Luis Abinader provided a subsidy of RD$514.4 million to keep the prices of five fuels for domestic use unchanged, during the week of January 18 to 24, 2025.

With the objective of avoiding transferring to consumers the pronounced price increases registered in international markets, in the indicated period, Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) will be subsidized for RD$30.59; Regular Diesel for RD$27.37; Optimal Gasoil for RD$26.08; Regular Gasoline for RD$13.77, and Premium Gasoline for RD$3.40.

“By 2025, we reaffirm our commitment to this policy, always under the principle of financial responsibility that guarantees its sustainability,” said Vice Minister Pérez Fermín, while specifying that “this effort, in addition to alleviating the economic burden, also ensures that these measures can be executed with feasibility and transparency.”

Pérez Fermín reported that “in 2024 the Government allocated RD$17,000 million to extraordinary subsidies, while honoring its financial commitments without incurring debts for this concept.”

He stressed that these actions reflect the firm will of President Abinader’s Government to remain by the side of Dominican families, prioritizing their well-being with responsible measures that allow for progress with stability.

For the week of January 18 to 24, 2025, the fuel prices established for this week are:

  • Premium Gasoline will be sold at RD$290.10 per gallon; maintains its price.
  • Regular Gasoline, RD$272.50 per gallon; maintains its price.
  • Regular Diesel, RD$221.60 per gallon; maintains its price.
  • Optimal Gasoil, RD$239.10 per gallon; maintains its price.
  • Avtur, RD$209.82 per gallon; rises RD$4.36.
  • Kerosene, RD$241.30 per gallon; rises RD$4.90.
  • Fuel oil #6, RD$167.94 per gallon; rises RD$6.67.
  • Fuel oil 1%S, RD$183.49 per gallon; rises RD$5.95.
  • Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), RD$132.60 per gallon; maintains its price.
  • Natural gas, RD$43.97 per m3; maintains its price.

The weekly average exchange rate is RD$61.56, from the daily publications of the Central Bank.
