Libertador Avenue, in the City of Buenos Aires, will remain cut in sections, for the next five days from Monday, “to paint the new horizontal demarcations, cordons and lanes of the future shared street,” they reported this Sunday from the Buenos Aires Government .
“The cuts will last 5 business days and will last from 9:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and they are necessary to paint the new horizontal demarcations, cordons and lanes of the future Libertador Shared Street”, they reported through a statement issued this Sunday.
They also explained that “they will advance in sections from General Paz Avenue to Guillermo Udaondo Avenue and the cuts will be made in 5 consecutive stages, one section per day, subject to weather conditions”.
Libertador Avenue, which will become the first shared street in the City of Buenos Aires, will benefit 250,000 people and will add more trees and green spaces, proposes “a new appearance that combines the recovery of space for pedestrians, the incorporation of unidirectional bike paths on each side of the avenue, the creation of platforms for waiting for the group, integration of new trees in the layout, and the implementation of technology to improve vehicular circulation.
Finally, it was reported that to carry out the operation “safely, it will have the support of the Corps of Traffic Agents.”
