Between rivers
The Country Carnivalthe largest open-air party in the country, stands out in the Entre Ríos city of Gualeguaychú, 230 kilometers from Buenos Aires, with a gigantic staging, with costumes, lights and parades in its corsódromo every Saturday in January and February .
In this edition, the five local troupes will compete with more than 1,200 artists, 15 floats and five live bands in more than 500 meters of catwalk, with tickets ranging from 3,400 to just over 10,000 pesos, in the corsódromo with capacity for 30,000 people.
Facundo Venencio, general producer of the Carnival, assured that it is an “excellent” season, with “record ticket sales and good weather” that allow “enjoying an event that takes a year of preparation, construction and assembly.”
In Entre Ríos the carnivals of hasenkampwhich has its own corsódromo almost on the coast of the Paraná river, those of Victory -considered since 1970 the provincial capital of carnival- with its “Terror do corso”, those of Concordin the old North Railway Station, and those of st. Helenin the northwest of the province.
Jujuy
The parades of San Pedro will take place from February 3 to 25, at 8:00 p.m., with the participation of indigenous, artistic and traditional comparsas in the so-called “Carnival of the Yungas”with free access (only the use of the chairs is paid).
The Quebrada Carnival It will be held from February 18 to 25 in different locations in the region (Humahuaca, Uquía, Maimará, Tilcara, Purmamarca and Volcán) with free access.
The region is home to the most popular celebration in the province where different comparsas gather to give life to a party like no other with dances and music in which the devils with their typical attire guide others in having fun.
The Los Tekis Carnivalfrom February 17, 18, 19 and 20, will take place at 9:00 p.m. in the Cultural City of Jujuy, with shows by this folkloric group, La Delio Valdez, Damas Gratis, Bersuit Vergarabat, Los Auténticos Decadentes and Luciano Pereyra, with tickets of 4,000 pesos on average.
“The tourist carnival in Jujuy has been growing year after year, a carnival that is also ancestral and respects Andean culture, traditions, is unique in Argentina,” Jujuy’s Minister of Culture and Tourism, Federico Posadas, told Télam, adding that “The idea is that this is the best in history in the province.”
Buenos Aires
In Buenos Aires, numerous carnivals with their own stamp will be held, such as the making of giant paper and paste dolls, children’s carnivals, in the forest and the sea or to honor the sun, friendship and music.
From February 3 to 11, the 31st National Party of Friendship Carnivalin Maipú, with parades of comparsas, election of the Queen and musical shows, while in Dolores the Carnival of the Suna celebration with a Brazilian Carioca style, which has seven nights, an open-air stage and a catwalk where three comparsas of 150 members will parade.
In Guaminí it will be celebrated during three weekends the Carnival of Art and Joywhile in Punta Indio there will be murgas within the framework of the Federal Carnivals 11.
Lincoln will become the capital of the Craft Carnivalwhere masters of the cartapesta make giant dolls that parade through the streets of the city, and in Mar Chiquita, on the 11th and 12th, the Carnival of the Forest and the Seawhile Chascomús will celebrate the Children’s Carnival with the motto “Green Harmony”, taking the concept of ecosystem uniting the environmental and the cultural in a common space.
On February 18 in Coronel Rosales, Carnival PehuenKaiser Carabela, a ska, rock and reggae band from Bahia will perform, while in lujan will close its summer with a show by the renowned Uruguayan murga Agarrate Catalina.
Santa Fe
Santa Fe has its provincial carnival capital in Tailorwhich during February will hold the 61st edition of its festival on Saturdays 4 and 11, and will close on Monday 20 with the election of the Provincial Carnival Ambassador and the performance of the Penambí Berá comparsa, which with its 360 members will present their show “Fly , Flying”.
The artistic director of the comparsa, Nicolás Molineris, explained that the show “contemplates everything related to flight, the man who wants to fly and his inspiration in birds.”
The municipality implemented for this edition the “Golden Ticket”, which at a cost of 5,500 pesos allows entry to the Plaza Independencia Corsódromo for four nights.

Cordova
In Córdoba, carnivals were scheduled in various locations, such as arias which is the main local population with a carnival tradition that began in January and scheduled shows until the 19th in its corsódromo with performances by Kapanga, Dale Q’Va and Estelares, with tickets ranging from 500 to 1500 pesos.

In the town of ibarreta The parades of comparsas and batucadas will take place from 17 to 19 with celebrations that have some 70 years of tradition and in which the Tobas and Pilagás communities have participated since the 1960s, recycled materials were used to assemble the handmade costumes.

The carnivals will be held in Apostles, Concepción de la Sierra, San Javier, Posadas and San Ignacio from January 28 to February 18 with free access celebrations.
