These are the two components of the agreement.

The influencer Daneidy Barrera Rojas, known as EPA Colombia, signed a conciliation agreement with Transmilenio SA to repair the damage caused at the Molinos station during the national strike of November 22, 2019. The pact, which was presented to a judge for its validation, contemplates economic compensation and pedagogical actions aimed at promoting citizen culture.

As reported by the transport entity, the total value of the damage was estimated at 467 million pesos. However, as part of the agreement, Barrera Rojas promised to pay 100 million pesos as direct repair. The rest of the conciliation will focus on symbolic and educational measures that seek to positively impact the community.
Among the commitments assumed by the influencer are the recording of audiovisual content that foster respect for the public, the provision of social services in system stations and the publication of public apologies. These restorative actions seek to generate citizen awareness and compensate for social damage caused by their actions.
Transilenio concluded the agreement as an example of restorative justice, highlighting that it is not only about recovering financial resources, but about promoting processes of reconciliation and responsibility for the use of public transport. “The important thing is that there is a recognition of the damage and a real commitment to the repair,” said a spokesman for the entity.

Despite the conciliation, this agreement does not guarantee the immediate freedom of Daneidy Barrera, who currently meets a conviction for the same case. Its legal situation will continue to be evaluated by the corresponding judges, who will determine if these measures have any effect on their deprivation of liberty.
This agreement marks a precedent in Colombia by combining material reparation and pedagogical actions in response to vandalism acts. The history of EPA Colombia thus becomes an opportunity to reflect on individual responsibility against the public and the value of building citizenship from repair.
