The Open Town Hall initiative was approved by Law 20,130, amendments to the accumulation regime established in Law 17,819, which especially benefit military and police officers after their retirement.
They joined the activity covered by the BPS, and were unable to access a retirement benefit, because they did not reach the configuration of the cause for retirement with those years.
This initiative of strict justice ensures that contributions are not lost and allows people to enjoy the contribution effort made in old age.
In order to process the same, you must go to the Social Security Bank to begin the accumulation process in accordance with art. 83 of Law 20,130.
The following conditions must be met: Be a retired military or police officer. Have at least one year of contributions to the BPS for services after retirement. Have ceased the subsequent activities that are intended to be accumulated. Be 70 years of age or older at the time of the application. Have a reason for retirement in the other Organization with the sum of the services included in your retirement.
