The Minister of the Interior of the Nation, Eduardo ‘Wado’ de Pedro, said Tuesday that the agricultural sector “lives permanently with the State, with the Government, and receives a lot of help.”

Within the framework of the new edition of Expoagro that begins this Tuesday in the Buenos Aires town of San NicolásIn statements made to Radio 10, the head of the political portfolio referred to the government’s relationship with the agricultural sector: “There always seems to be a lot of noise but, in reality, there is much more coexistence.”

In fact, he stressed that “he lives permanently with the State, with the Government.”

In addition, he maintained that the sector “receives a lot of help, especially in our governmentsin that there is a policy of incentives and also a credit one” by the public bank.

“In our governments (referring to Peronism) not only the machinery but the ecosystem are doing well, because more is invested in science and technology, and that synergy between the agricultural system and technology is enhanced,” said De Pedro.

Likewise, he highlighted the role of the sector and said that “the metal-mechanic industry linked to agriculture is growing a lot, the agricultural machinery industry is part of the roots and life of the towns of the interior.”

He also remarked that “when forces join and we think collectively and intelligently, employment can be generated, activity can be generated.”

“One of the challenges we have is to return to Peronism with the countryside,” said De Pedro, and argued that “there is no federalism for us if the agricultural sector is not doing wellbecause in the interior of the provinces, a large part of them live from that”, adding that “we have a path of productive development to continue growing”.

Along these lines, he said that “Peronism has always been on the side of the countryside, fostering, promoting and protecting the sector”, and affirmed that “when one looks at the numbers of production and employment, one realizes that some have a discourse procampo, but the speech goes to one side and the management to another”.

“Because when they get to the government, they start with words like ‘reprofiling’ or with the idea that ‘you have to insert yourself into the world’ and that means that they are going to open imports, it means that the industry is not going to have the push it needed, It means that the development banks, the Nation and the Province, become gigs and businesses like Vicentin, and leave aside the productive sectors”, affirmed the minister.

On the other hand, he stressed that the Minister of Economy, “Sergio Massaworks permanently to support producers and in each of the sectors that are having a hard time due to this drought that has to do with climate change.”

“Our objective is always to think of the workers, producers and merchants in a federal Argentina. We are the ones who promote all productive employment for Argentine families,” said ‘Wado’ De Pedro.

Finally, he also referred to the International Monetary Fund, and said that “it is a crime to have returned to the IMF And it’s something that’s going to last.”
