The Minister of the Interior, Eduardo “Wado” De Pedro, he advocated this Monday in Neuquen for “reaching major national agreements with initiatives and consensus” to empower Patagonia, an area that must “become the great energy region of the country,” as he considered.
The official led the meeting of the Patagonic Parliamentor together with deputy governors and more than 60 legislators from the six provinces that make up the region, with the aim of continuing with the development and infrastructure strategies of the Argentine districts and regions.
De Pedro also noted that the national government is “discussing the need for YPF relocate the central administration in one of the producing provinces“as part of” a redesign of Argentina more just, egalitarian and democratic. “

De Pedro stressed that “the countries of the world that developed well and seriously have divided their countries into regions”, so, he said, “The oil region in Argentina has to be the Patagonian region, and here we must generate large national agreements with laws, initiatives and consensus, so that the banks, the financial system linked to energy and the headquarters of the companies work in this region“.
He also clarified that “it is a proposal to” decentralize and locate in the national geography each area of public administration that has to do with the specific activity carried out in the territory. The Interior Minister indicated that from this task “a list of 1,100 necessary and basic works emerged, which will promote increased production, with the aim of generating employment throughout Argentina.”
