The human being is characterized because he thinks, analyzes and reasons. Intelligence or neurodevelopment is a process that, due to genetic inheritance, causes the brain to develop and train itself with the abilities of the environment, in other words, what is learned in the early years, will define how it will develop later. .
Genetic or innate abilities and acquired abilities cannot be separated. Although the genes are there, according to the development of the human being, it requires that it be expressed, that it also grow. In this process, the brain adapts to the environment that surrounds it and intelligence allows it to coordinate personal skills to survive effectively.
Piaget in Cognitive Therapy defines the levels of human development in periods: the motor sensory (0-18 months), where the structures are built from the action. The preparation and organization of the concrete operations of thought (19 months – 11 years), where they begin to realize reality, establish relationships between objects in the environment and expand knowledge, and, finally, the period of formal operations (11 – 15 years), where the knowledge of the human being has no limits and can become more complex between common knowledge and scientific knowledge.
The human being is an intelligent creature endowed with highly advanced and competent cognitive abilities, which is why it has allowed it to evolve and develop as a species. However, this natural intelligence presents certain limits and limitations, allowing the creation and development of artificial intelligence (AI), which evolves the capacity for interdisciplinary interaction of mathematics, engineering, statistics and computer systems that, through of machines, they process tasks that would normally require human intelligence, such as learning, perception and problem solving, even in some cases reasoning.
It has become a powerful tool for industry, commerce, and research in the modern age. Faced with this reality, the question arises: what is the impact of AI on society and how has it changed the way of thinking about intelligence and creativity?
Due to its automation and efficiency, it is quickly becoming an important tool in business processes. Its ability to analyze large data sets and find patterns and trends that are not apparent to humans can be an advantage for companies looking to improve efficiency and productivity.
One of the biggest threats from the application of AI is the potential loss of jobs. As companies deploy it to perform tasks that previously required human input, there is a decline in demand for predictable jobs, especially those that involve repetitive and reproducible tasks.
Another aspect that cannot be ignored is how AI can affect creativity and innovation. While it can help streamline certain tasks and processes, can it really be creative and original like human beings?
Although AI systems can learn from large data sets and generate new patterns or ideas, human creativity combines the capacity for imagination and abstraction with the element of emotion that is difficult to replicate in a machine.
Faced with this reality, ethical questions arise: who should be held responsible when an AI system makes a wrong decision or to the detriment of someone? How can you ensure that AI systems are fair and correct in decision making?
There is a strong possibility that artificial intelligence systems can be influenced by human bias and consequently can make unfair decisions, which creates a significant ethical and legal problem.
AI is a powerful tool that can improve the performance, efficiency and precision of many tasks and processes, but on the other hand, it poses important ethical and social challenges and questions for humanity and its evolution.
