From January to September, 42.2 million passengers moved through the country's airports

In the first nine months of the year, air transport in Colombia registered a movement of 42.4 million passengers in all the country’s airports, which represents a growth of 1.7% compared to the same period in 2024.

This behavior was driven by the strong dynamism of international routes, which registered an accumulated growth of 7.0% between January and September 2025.

The increase has been notable in flows to destinations such as Lima, Quito, Buenos Aires, Guayaquil, Punta Cana, Santo Domingo, Curacao, Paris and Barcelona, which strengthens the image of Colombia as a regional and international hub and a benchmark in air connectivity in Latin America.

Cargo and mail

For its part, between January and September 2025, 709,382 tons were moved, which represents an increase of 2.8% compared to the same period of the previous year.

The 4% increase in national cargo stands out, evidencing the strengthening of the domestic market and the trust placed in the country by logistics companies and international cargo airlines such as Atlas Air, Copa, United Parcel Service, Fedex, DHL, Ethiopian, Emirates and Amerijet.
