According to the report of the Santa Cruz Institute of Statistics (ICE), in 2023 there were extreme temperatures that ranged from -5.4° C (on June 15 in Postrervalle) to 46° C (in Cuevo, between November and December)The institution also presented the “Statistical Bulletin of Temperatures in the department of Santa Cruz 2024”.
According to ICE, it is an exhaustive collection of climate data that reveals the evolution of temperatures in the around 30 meteorological stations operating in the department of Santa Cruz, managed by the Departmental Agricultural Information System (SIC Santa Cruz).
ICE Director Juan Pablo Suarez He stated that this document is important for agricultural production. from the different provinces of Santa Cruz.
He added that it provides a detailed understanding of climate patterns and trends, thereby contributing to informed decision-making. in the agricultural sectorthus promoting sustainable development and economic growth in the region.
“The usefulness of this document is an essential tool for those interested in deepening the analysis of the climate data generated by the Autonomous Departmental Government of Santa Cruz. “These data support informed decision-making in various sectors, especially in the agricultural and livestock sectors,” said Suárez.
In this sense, he considered that this presentation is the beginning of the continuous presentations of other topics that will be replicated in the different municipalities of the department.
