The American Taylor Fritz, number 9 in the world, qualified this Thursday for the semifinals of the ‘Tournament of Masters’ by defeating the Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime (6th) 7-6 (4), 6-7 (5) in an exciting encounter.

Fritz got her first break chance of the match in the sixth game, but had to wait for the fourth to finally break serve and lead to 4-2. The Canadian fell apart and Fritz took the last two games.
