The French government spokesman, Gabriel Attal, recognized today the brilliant advance of Covid-19 in the country in its fifth wave of infections, but insisted that the situation is better than that of neighboring nations.

The day before, Public Health France reported 22,678 infections, the fourth consecutive day with more than 20,000, while the positivity rate of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus detection tests climbed to 4.5 percent.
Speaking to the program La gran cita, by the Europe1 media, Cnews and Les Échos, Attal affirmed that in this scenario, on French soil control of the health pass was strengthened, one of the actions announced by President Emmanuel Macron on November 9 , when he also called for individual and collective responsibility in the face of the outbreak of the pandemic.
The spokesman assured that in the country vaccination against Covid-19 is more advanced than in neighboring nations and the call for the third or booster dose has greater dynamism.
Regarding the crisis in the overseas territory of Guadeloupe, where violence in protests against the health pass has been reported, Attal considered unacceptable the behavior of people whom he described as a small radicalized minority.
