“We have 2 hours a week of classes (in Spanish) and for me it is very little, the investment in the country is better with a language exchange. There is a lot to learn and nothing like going to the country”, pointed out the French teacher Emily Montas.
This exchange program is carried out between the Lycée Notre Dame du Roc in France and Zarate Schools in our country, a school that has the French language in its teaching curriculum and in the following days the trip of Huancaine schoolchildren to La Roche- sur-Yon.
Emily Montas pointed out that it is important for students to improve their language level, this cultural opening and that both parties also know the social level. She indicated that there was a long waiting list and to select these 27 students a personal interview has been considered in which they have indicated their motivations for visiting Peru, their ability to interact and even practice sports. This due to the geographical height at which Huancayo is located.

In turn, the teacher of Colegios Zarate, Arturo Mayta, stressed that education should not be based only on the country but thinking of citizens of the world. “We want the kids to get to know realities that are different from their own, and this type of trip, which our students also take to cities like Paris, contributes to this goal,” he commented. The selected students from Huancayo must obtain a weighted average of 15, command of the French language and have the DELF certification granted by the French Ministry of Education and which can be obtained by the students thanks to the school’s agreement with the Alliance Française and the Embassy. from France.
The students stay with Peruvian families that they join during their week of stay and the Huancaínos will do the same on their trip to France
