Venezuelans rejected the presence of the vice president of Cy Rodríguez in the ICC and condemned human rights violations and arbitrary arrests of the adversaries of the Maduro Administration
A group of Venezuelan migrants concentrated this Saturday, August 9 in front of the headquarters of the International Criminal Court (CPI), in The Hague, Netherlands, to demand the freedom of political prisoners and reject the presence of the vice president of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez.
The nationals bet in front of the international court to express their claim. With posters and posters with the photographs and names of the detainees for political reasons in the country, they requested their freedom.
They condemned human rights violations, arbitrary arrests and repression towards adversaries of the Maduro Administration.
The activists expressed their rejection of the presence of Delcy Rodríguez in The Hague, who on Friday, August 9 met with the prosecutor of the Mame Mandiaye Niang court.

Upon leaving the meeting with the attached prosecutor, the Venezuelan official questioned the “slowness” of the preliminary examination advanced by the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Court (CPI), at the request of the Venezuelan State, about the alleged crimes against humanity committed by the United States through the economic sanctions imposed on the country.
For its part, the Prosecutor’s Office of the CPI ratified its commitment in advancing with their investigations to guarantee justice for the victims of alleged crimes against humanity committed in Venezuela and referred to the evaluation of the advances of the Venezuelan State: “The viability of the complementarity route will depend on the initiatives and actions of Venezuela in the implementation of genuine efforts to surrender at the national level.”
