This afternoon it was confirmed the death of free trader Samuel Campos Lijeron, 64 years oldthat received two gunshot wounds when three robbers stole more than Bs 200 thousand from him in the old Los Pozos market, located in the center of the capital of Santa Cruz.
According to the medical report, the older adult suffered one injury to the abdomen and the other to the thigh left. He was hospitalized in the Japanese hospital until this Wednesday, when he lost his life.
The violent robbery took place on Tuesday afternoon on Cupesí and Suárez Arana streets, in the Los Pozos market. There were three criminals on a motorcycle who intercepted Samuel Campos Lijeron and They snatched his bag with the large sum of money, in addition to shooting him twice for resisting.
“They have performed two operations on him, in the abdomen and thigh due to the shots that hit him. Unfortunately, right at the time of the robbery he had all his money in his wallet, “They are approximately 220 thousand to 230 thousand bolivianos”said the victim’s son.
The departmental commander of the Police, Colonel Rolando Rojas, indicated that the material authors of the aggravated robbery are fully identified, Therefore, operations were ordered to be carried out until they were captured.
“They stole a significant amount of money from the free trader. Based on the complaint, the Command tacitly instructed that the actions be assumed necessary to find the perpetrators of the crime,” he explained.
Samuel Campos worked as free trader for 35 years in the market Los Pozos, for which it was known by many merchants.
