Talks on healthy habits, plogging activity -running and collecting plastic waste at the same time- and free basic medical check-ups are held this Saturday throughout the country to raise awareness about the importance of detecting a cerebrovascular accident (CVA) in time, in the World day of this disease.
The meetings are held in the City of Buenos Aires, Bahía Blanca, Córdoba, Entre Ríos, La Plata, Mar de Ajó, Mar del Plata, Mendoza, Rojas, Saladillo, Salta and Tandil, reported the Medihome group, organizer of the events.
The meetings take place throughout the day, and consist of a stroke awareness day, talks on healthy habits, plogging activity, and basic medical check-ups.
In CABA, activities are reviewed at the Regatta Lake and Golf Complex – Forests of Palermo; in Bahía Blanca, Plaza Rivadavia; in Córdoba, Plaza Jerónimo del Barco, located at 2700 Colón Avenue; in Entre Rìos, the esplanade of the Port of Colón; in La Plata, at the Ecological House on Paseo del Bosque.
Also in Mar de Ajo: Costanera and Libertador; Mar del Plata, Spain Square; Mendoza, Leonardo Murialdo club; in Rojas, the Plaza España, in Saladillo, the main square of the city; in Salta at the Monument to Martin Güemes and in Tandil at the Parque de la Industria y El Comercio.
The “Movete contra el CVA” activities are free of charge, open to the public and are intended for the entire community interested in participating.
Valeria Muda, director of Medihome Groupmaintained that “every year, when we carry out this campaign we emphasize the importance of instilling healthy habitswhich directly affect our quality of life.”
“At the same time -he explained- we promote the activity of plogging, with the aim of understanding that the relationship with the environment causes an impact on our health. This year, we also added clinics with basic medical controls in order to provide, to each person who approach, information on cardiovascular risk factors.”
